“Skerdi, co-owner of tour operator "Friends of Albania" was the perfect guide: polite, friendly, very well educated, particularly in Albanian history, outspoken, and very considerate helping two older gentlemen with limited mobility, e.g. helping us at difficult trails and staircases, with our luggage, etc. We had a very private tour, just the two of us in his clean, private car. He got us a second bedroom in the hotels at very reasonable prices. The tour covers most of the important historical and naturally beautiful sites of Albania. Skerdi also does shorter tours. We highly recommend him.”

“The transfer from the airport to our hotel was good. Our driver was waiting for us with a sign with our name on it and was very friendly. My only issue is learning afterwards that a taxi (many are available as you walk outside the airport) would have cost less then half the transfer fee we were charged. So if I come back to Tirana I will book a taxi - There is a standard taxi rate of about 25 euros from the airport regardless of distance to your hotel as long as it is within Tirana. Don’t worry about not being able to find a taxi when you arrive.…”

He also is very relaxed and gives you the time to properly appreciate and take in the sites you’re seeing, we didn’t feel rushed at all. The Bolivia lake is absolutely stunning a must see. There is very nice café there to have a coffee or Raki at. We then visited the city of Kruja, where he gave a personal guided tour and shows us all around the historical spots and best places for photos. The day finished off with a delicious Meze meal and watching the sun set. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Albania”
